I just had a job interview and was totally stressing about what to wear, not only because I don’t have much business casual clothing but also because it was going to be 90+ degrees. I ended up getting *the* J Crew button-up linen vest in a light brown color I wouldn’t usually wear. Paired with black pants and oxford blood loafers I felt really put together. I found out today I’m a finalist for the position and I have one more interview to go 🤞 — luckily this one is virtual!
I love wearing lavender, so much so that my co-workers now associate me with that color whenever they see it. It’s such a fun color to wear and now that buttery yellow is in style, there’s even more color combos for me to style with it!
Wide-leg trousers or jean, loafers, boots or clogs with a fun sock, layered dress or top with a blazer & a vintage patterned neck scarf. Bonus if I pop on one of my grandma's brooches onto the blazer. 💖
I exclusively wear overalls to work. I once read about having a “uniform” to make it easy to get dressed in the mornings, one less decision you have to make if mornings are overwhelming. So I like having something that can be really simple, but then I can make it more “me.” Currently it’s some loose denim overalls, a cream t-shirt, a pair black converse, and mismatched studs (one is a yellow t-rex and the other is a blue triceratops).
I’ve got a solid tank top, white linen or silky cover up with green flowy linen pants or comfy jeans that kind of flare at the bottom rotation going this summer for work BUT a new outfit I wore last weekend that was perfection: black high waisted jean shorts, beautiful new white tank that fits perfectly with embroidered flowers at the top, and goose earrings! :)
I’m into the outfit I’m wearing right now! Rainbow socks, flowy gingham shorts with lace trim, and a green-and-turquoise tee shirt which fits me perfectly, balancing the flow of the shorts
my most “me” outfit that brings me joy right now is my drawstring white linen pants with a button-down denim vest and gold huggie hoops with bright beaded oranges hanging off them (gift from my best friend 🥰). It’s comfy enough to nap in, work & church appropriate, and is cool in the desert heat but covers my legs in AC… wish I could wear it every day of summer🍊
I love this assignment!!😊 my comfort confidence outfit is a little denim dress/skort that I got from goodwill bins! It has silver buttons in the shoulders and two big pockets in the back, and it fits me perfectly- tight until my waist and then the cutest flair, not too much, kinda size of a ballerina skirt. I like to wear it with a mint green cardigan and my lemon hair clip and pink sneakers! It makes me feel playful and it feels like summer-just-starting-at-the-playground-with-my-nieces vibes! 🍋
It’s hard to choose but!! My favorite outfits usually are inspired by my shoes. I really love wearing a grey tshirt dress (very boring) BUT THEN YOU LOOK AT MY FEET and I have purple SPARKLING high top converse. It feels like an outfit that balances my love of dark colors with my whimsical side.
omg i love this!!! i just got the cutest yellow boots from amazon and i wore them with my baggier overall shorts and a cute white long sleeve button down and it was so fun for work! i did the new overall method where you wear tuck the straps through the back of the shirt and over the front so you can wear baggier shirts! it’s so funnnnn and such a game changer ☺️ — yellow boots are a must!!!
I think a huge part of making getting dressed easier for me was really limiting the number of pieces I owned and outfit repeating. It forced me to only keep comfortable items that all work well together. So I can just grab any piece and know it works with everything else!
My favorite outfit right now isn't particularly flashy lol. It's black dress slacks, a sleeveless black turtleneck top, and black doc Martin Mary janes. I always wear the same silver rings and a little watch. The star of the outfit is always my hair! It's like a bob with bangs, but I have little braids behind my ears that are grown out and longer than the rest of my hair.
AH this was so lovely!!! As a lady who wears business professional to work every day, I love finding new ways to infuse my professional style with my own flair. I love a trouser that is as comfy as a PJ pant!!!!
Wearing a monochrome outfit is when I feel the most me! All pink or all red is my preferred vibe. With a thick white sock and some comfy sneakers. My signature chunky glasses and cobalt blue nails to accessorize <3
This came to me at the perfect time as I recently had a fashion emergency before a fancy date night and I had a crisis mode pile of clothing on my bed 😮💨 then I remembered there are no rules and I can wear something comfortable and take a low stakes fashion risk at the same time! I wore a t shirt dress I forgot about and a pair of heels I never wear that make me feel HAWT and boom crisis solved. Clothing as food referentially makes so much sense too 👏🏽
My current favorite is a pair of red gingham boxer shorts, an boxy white tee and my grass green adidas. Topped off with my charm necklace (including: a strawberry, the letter M, a green evil eye, an ace of hearts and a 5 point star) plus my mom’s gold huggy hoop earrings from the 90s
my very favourite pair of jeans are bootcut and high waist. they‘re the perfect denim blue that get‘s a tiny bit darker on the bottom. i usually pair them with a really oversized cream coloured t-shirt that has a print of a cat on the back and says: don‘t let the cat out or the cops in.
to complete the outfit i usually wear my dark grey denim wash dad cap. it says „hot and stupid“ in hot pink on it.

My white linen pants matched with a loose, white and blue stripped button down shirt that I could roll and tuck. With my hair in a blow out I would add some gold jewelry and my daily gold necklace and finish the look off with some red flats 🦞
