GROUP PROJECTS!

1. Do you have a signature scent?! What is it, and what does it smell like?

2. Does anyone have some super peaceful, cozy fiction books they love? I'd love to put a list together!

1. Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt is my newly adopted signature!! Really fresh while a little grounded, like a grove of trees by the ocean (shocking given the name, no? 🙃)

2. Not fiction but my go-to cozy read is A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle. For fiction I love Japanese novels featuring cats hehe a recent favorite is We’ll Prescribe You a Cat

1. Switsal baby cologne for day to day and for special occasions (or when i feel like it) Hermes Twilly Dhermes Eau Poivree Eau de Parfum. The cologne smells really fresh but also sweet in a baby powder way. The perfume is a more floral, spicy, and vibrant scent just makes me feel more elevated and elegant.

2. For this question unfortunately I can't add to the list as I am also finding a book that makes me feel super warm and cosy.

1. I don't really wear perfume as I'm extremely sensible to scents but at the moment i'm trying to find my signature scent for the moment it's Love Potion by Wild (strawberries peach and champagne) it's really sweet and suprisingly fresh. Next I'll try more summery scents (vannila cream+monoï+coconut milk or juicy mango i'm not sure) now that I'm writing about it I think that i'm more on the sweet and fruity side

2. I don't really read books anymore (kinda did an overdose of reading few years ago) but l've got some manga recommandation: Chi's sweet home by Konami Kanata (a manga about a lost kittens and his life this manga is for kids but it's so cute) U like UFO by mercening (a french manga about friendship and grief) Otaku Otaku by Fujita (a guide to inlove Otaku very sweet and funny) and Avec toi by keiko

Nishi (didn't find the english title but it's about a stray cat and a japanese family at the moment I didn't read that one but it's looks cute)

Also thanks for this post I really needed it at this time really glad I read it. Sending you love from France <3

I loved Meet Me at the Museum by Anne Youngson. It's especially good as an audiobook - one of the most simply sweet books I've ever encountered.

I found something to add here today when I was out walking the neighborhood with a friend. Someone had left out a beach bucket filled with various colors of sidewalk chalk. There was an invitation written on the driveway to create some art for yourself. We both grabbed some chalk and took several minutes drawing some pictures and a thank you. This really changed the tenor of my day! It’s amazing how the smallest thing can make a big difference!

I love this! No one ever outgrows the joy of chalk - or blowing some bubbles! I love that they had it out for anyone to use.

I love this! I moved onto a sailboat with my family seven months ago and we are currently traveling the Caribbean. It’s a dream come true but more work than I could have ever imagined. Sometimes I wonder how long I’ll be able to continue. Reading this was a good check in for me to remember my life is already super whimsical (we live very seasonally, walk everywhere, and are constantly meeting new people!), and now I’m thinking of how I can make even the hard, unglamorous parts (hauling groceries, cleaning and organizing) more whimsical. Thank you 💕

I love this list, especially “Become more obsessed with being a good friend than finding one” was so eye opening!

I never miss up an opportunity to play pretend, even if it’s just with myself. When I worked at a department store, my favourite task was organizing the skin care aisle and pretending I was a witch organizing all their potions in their apothecary shoppe. just telling myself that I’m a witch doing something witchy when I’m doing anything mundane or less than idea instantly makes it a little more joyful and whimsical

Thank you so much for this piece! ❤️ As someone who struggle with anxiety, I’m trying to be whimsical in my own little way. It usually consists of humming a song on my walk to work.

“I fight for joy.” This. THIS. I love this so much. I know today is a going to be a great day because I started it off with reading this article.
