Euchre is SO fun. Easy to learn, hard to become an expert at, high stakes and low stakes at the same time!

GROUP PROJECTS!

1. Do you have a signature scent?! What is it, and what does it smell like?

2. Does anyone have some super peaceful, cozy fiction books they love? I'd love to put a list together!

Louise Penny's books are a cozy mystery series, set in a cute village in Canada, with lovable quirky characters. Highly recommend!

I found something to add here today when I was out walking the neighborhood with a friend. Someone had left out a beach bucket filled with various colors of sidewalk chalk. There was an invitation written on the driveway to create some art for yourself. We both grabbed some chalk and took several minutes drawing some pictures and a thank you. This really changed the tenor of my day! It’s amazing how the smallest thing can make a big difference!

I love this! No one ever outgrows the joy of chalk - or blowing some bubbles! I love that they had it out for anyone to use.

This is so funny because I do so many of these things, and I never really considered it a part of my whimsical life. That being said, I definitely do try to prioritize making my life whimsical so I guess it makes sense😂

I love this! I moved onto a sailboat with my family seven months ago and we are currently traveling the Caribbean. It’s a dream come true but more work than I could have ever imagined. Sometimes I wonder how long I’ll be able to continue. Reading this was a good check in for me to remember my life is already super whimsical (we live very seasonally, walk everywhere, and are constantly meeting new people!), and now I’m thinking of how I can make even the hard, unglamorous parts (hauling groceries, cleaning and organizing) more whimsical. Thank you 💕

Small shop owner, schoolteacher, and now creative director and designer?? My hero! I'd love an article on your path and how you've managed to string together such an inspirational career. As someone with similarly diverse aspirations, I've sort of been on a kick of looking to others who have taken those more unconventional paths through their lives and careers -- all without sacrificing depth or quality for superficial 'jumping' between fields. Just a thought. Loved the article and loved the glimpse into your philosophy on positivity! Love Does is on my list -- as soon as I read the other 1000 books I have sitting around here at home ... (T-T)

PS: Not a very light or whimsical read, but my favorite in-bed novel is definitely Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood. Give it a try for a change of pace!

I love that idea — I think you just inspired an article for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I would be happy to explore the topic.

I loved everything about this, thank you so much for sharing! As someone who naturally gravitates towards earth tones, I’ve been trying to add some little pops of color into my home (pink tea kettle, striped Turkish kitchen towel, colored throw pillows, orange cosmos in the garden, etc.) and have found it to be a lot of fun! My cozy book recommendation is anything by James Herriot. I’ve read several of his books from the All Creatures Great and Small series and just read his children’s treasury with my four year old and we both greatly enjoyed it. And another whimsical, relaxing suggestion for parents is the Brambly Hedge series. Absolutely delightful illustrations!
