Stakeholders — we would love your feedback on any (or all) the following:

1. What is a topic you'd love to see Feeling! cover?

2. What is something you want more of from this magazine in 2026?

3. If you could dream a little, what would absolutely delight you in a print magazine? What would make a magazine worth having in your home, in print? Would love to know what you value.

Thank you for your sincere feedback. I will have to restock the treasure box for you all soon.

Longtime print obsessive here. Off and on subscriber to Uppercase, out of Canada, which presents a wide variety of illustrators and artists. Off and on subscriber to Field Notes, which joyfully puts into my hands the latest and greatest print techniques: foil? You got it. Graph paper? Yep. Cool inserts or bookmarks? 🔖 yup.

1. Topic: Commodification of Whimsy -- And How to Keep it From Sapping Your Whimsy (I'm afraid, since the word is apparently trending... It just feels like consumerism stealing my everyday choices to sell me more things).

2. More of: Curated "plans" -- like the ones for winter get-togethers. Maybe this is part of what's coming for Galentines? I liked the hosting plan for Thanksgiving too. Also: crafts using things you probably already have.

3. Print Magazines: I think it's what you touch on in your article about branding -- feeling like you're entering a specific space. You have a lot of cafe core vibes, based on your home cafe + ice cream shop inspo. I would love a user-submitted photo column highlighting their cafe-core vibes -- or their kitchens.

Lastly: I loved the format of this article. Thank you for inviting us to the stakeholder meeting.

Love all of these thoughts! Yes - as whimsy becomes a sellable trend, what happens to actual whimsy! So much to dig in there. Thank you for attending the meeting and all your valuable ideas. So good!

I never wanted this little read to end! The way you include your readers is enticing and joyful. I freaking love it. One day I'll be able to join the founding member's tier, but for now I'll keep liking and commenting on every article you write.

Sorry, no feedback. You could write about the whimsy of paint drying and I would be all over it.

If only my HOA board encouraged note-taking in glitter gel pen during meetings...

I don't know if this is feasible, but if I were dreaming, some way to meet up with other like-minded Feeling! readers would be fun! I've also always been a fan of little comics/funny drawings (like the Amelia stories in American Girl or the lovely Grace Farris images at Cup of Jo).

Thank you for all that you do here! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite Substacks, and your intention behind every topic selection and design choice is commendable!

Hi!

1 - Something that drew me in immediately was your ability to showcase different ways to bring joy back into my life and apartment without spending a lot & being resourceful with what you already have! So .. keep being you

2- Selfishly speaking, being an interior and architectural designer - more cool apartment gadgets :) fun matcha recipes :) DIY projects :)

3 - Whalebone is a magazine I always keep around the house because it's so unique, the front is

textured and some pages felt so silly and unserious that it made its way to my heart. Here is the link for fun viewing :) https://shopwhalebone.com/product/the-slow-issue-volume-9-issue-5/

Love all that you do! Cheers!

Whalebone has always been a massive inspiration — I'm so glad you brought it up!

Thank you for the push to write more about design — I've been wanting to! And thank you so much for your encouraging words.

Hello! I absolutely loved the silly hamsters and nostalgic notebooks. They were absolutely fabulous!

1. I would really enjoy it if Feeling! covered the subject of ways to make makeup and self-care routines more whimsical! Or perhaps ways to dip our toes in digital art 😊

2. I would love more recipes, and I also enjoy when you do color/feeling studies.

3. You know how some magazines (maybe I’m thinking of books from when I was a child… I can’t remember haha) have a folded up poster at the back, and it is perforated so the reader can tear it out of the magazine? I think that would be super fun to have in Feeling! I would also be delighted if there were personality quizzes or fashion quizzes (think nostalgic teen magazines and American Girl self-help books 😁).

Will be taking notes from this annual board meeting to make all of my board meetings this captivating! My glitter gel pens will need to start making the commute to work with me now!

Re: Stakeholder Feedback:

I echo the fellow board members regarding snail mail as a general topic! I am always looking for inspiration on things to tuck into envelopes, fun ways to use mail as a way to have others feel seen, postcard ideas (DIY or tear out in a magazine(like the subscription cards that used to be in my mom's better homes and gardens)), and just love to see what others are sending or writing or how they're writing notes to friends and folks!

As a fellow apartment dweller, seeing you host in your smaller space is so helpful for me, as I constantly battling the feeling that my apartment isn't equipped to host. I'd love to see all levels of curated get together- I often forget that even a small amount of whimsy is enough and every gathering doesn't have to be pinterest perfect.

Thanks for hosting the Q&A portion of the meeting today!

I will say seeing 'Annual Board Meeting' as the subject line in my email this morning gave me a small fright BUT this was the best meeting I've ever been a part of. The nostalgia of the whimsical school supplies we all loved <3

I've been laid off from my graphic design job since thanksgiving and this little corner of the internet has been the best pick me up when I need a boost of creativity, to hear from like minded, color loving gals! Hope to one day be a paid subscriber but for now I will attend any board meeting you host!

*pulls out plastic Barbie laptop, starts clacking* mmmhmmm, yes yes. Noted.

I’d love to see even more ways we can bring color into our spaces on a budget!

And as for what I love in a print magazine: highlights of interesting artists (or just interesting people in general), ideas for my home, and beautiful illustrations (with collaging potential👀✂️)

HA! Love the laptop. Love these ideas. I would love to highlight more incredible people and honestly would love to stretch myself as a writer and do some interview-style editorials. Thanks for giving me the push to do it.

I'm so thrilled I found you last year and signed up to Color Club the minute you launched -- my colour dot calendar is hanging proudly next to my desk and is already infusing my 2026 with whimsy! This space has quickly become one of my favourite digital spaces, so thank you greatly for all your creativity and time and effort.

Would be honoured to fulfill my stakeholder duties:

1. I echo some of my fellow boardmembers that more interiors content (affordable but stylish! Perhaps DIY??) would be fantastic. Perhaps something on upcycling home goods or getting double value from things we already own, especially those of us in tiny NYC apartments!

2. You already do a wonderful job, but perhaps more ways for us to all engage with each other and be active participants? Giveaways, reader queries that we respond to in the comments, a meet-up (virtual or IRL), a snail mail train.. I think everyone is looking for more connection and having Feeling! Magazine in common would be such a great place to start!

3. I have a couple of print magazines I still cling onto, all different but what makes me value them especially: Expansive, unique features. Timeless visuals. Some kind of interactive element that ensures I don't throw it away after the first read-through -- maybe a cut-out craft or guide to home interior that I'll follow at a later date? Agree with others that quizzes would be great.

Regarding print magazines: I'd love to see quizzes come back! Those were always my favorite part of print magazines growing up. Tell me what my whimsy style is, what fashion trend I should try in 2026 based on my personality, what the next coffee drink I should try is based on my current preferences, whatever! Love this newsletter so much, thank you for creating and cultivating it!

Gosh I love this magazine… truly the highlight of my day/week… this little corner of the internet is my fave, and I feel so truly welcomed and connected with the whole community of shareholders!

1. I would love to see a deep dive into modern day community building! The recent piece on third spaces I think opens up some very interesting doors that Feeling! would do a great job with!

2. I would love to see more gift guides!!! 🙂‍↕️ I think that curated gift giving is such and art, and having some good on-hand recommendations that are reflective of the general Feeling! vibe is really really cool!

3. I am love a magazine that can be cut apart or reused! Things with vibrant art, fun cut out patterns, or even something as simple as word search/cross words!! I personally would love something that is useful as well! Cut out-able shopping lists, bookmarks, to-do lists etc! Even things that could double as postcards or other stationary samples :))

Also. My holiday gift to self was an Ilan (table) easel from Wms&Co. (pronounced "Williams and Co."). YOU have inspired me to place a cutout magazine page on it to inspire my family at mealtime. Perhaps the next step is to make my own art pieces for rotation/display!

I'm hoping to learn to balance the desire to make my life special and beautiful without feeling like it takes my constantly hitting the checkout button. :) (But I also love your wonderful product recommendations and definitely have magical athlete on the list of games I'd love to have in our collection.
