Is it possible to have a work space that exists in nature and a city? I love to write outside in the peace of the trees, but I also love to people watch and find a lot of inspiration in people's movement in a busy place
I’m currently working on creating my dream work space 🥹 my type A, project manager self would prefer that it be a sprint, but it’s very much a marathon project and I think that’s a good thing—it’s forcing me to slow down and be really intentional! Natural light is my priority and one of my great-grandfather’s paintings is my focal point! This post has been such a fun and timely read!
My dream space has lots of tall bookshelves, a window seat, and is near Lake Michigan! (And also has all my cords organized because I have never been able to figure that out)
My dream creative workspace would have floor to ceiling windows and skylights for natural light, as well as a “desk” the size of a large kitchen table; I am multidisciplinary artist, and having space to have multiple projects out at once would be a dream!
Working to fill our home office with more plants and more storied, charming pieces. Some people work better with in a minimalist setup, a little cleaner, but I have to have some character surrounding me in the workspace 🪴🎞️🧸🪭🏮
My dream creative workspace is to have a small building detached from my home, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking nature. I think it's so important to separate work and home life. I would love a modern wood cabin-ey structure, with a porch out front to sit and catch the sun, with lots of interior details inspired by natural materials. Of course, the most important part of the chair - a poor chair is the death of focused work.
Dream workspace is a big greenhouse in a garden with a corner tucked away for my antique mahogany desk, painting easel, and studio supplies—creating with my hands while surrounded by plants and natural light 🪴✨
My dream creative workspace would be lots of open space and flat spaces for cutting and laying out fabric, tons of natural light, and bright maximalist decor!
What a GREAT giveaway! Yay! Would love an entry, please. ❤️ (Already follow on IG, bc, of course!) - And also, an aside: your Substack is a masterclass in intentional joy. Thank you for sharing your creative process with the world - your creativity (including the 'life is worth getting hopeful about' print on my living room wall) is doing the heavy lifting around here in the joy department. Thank you!

I finally have a home office for the first time, and I’m going for a Mondrian color palette: red, yellow, blue!

Would love a space that's half inside , half outside! Fresh air, shade, green plants and flowers everywhere. ✨✨✨✨
Dream workspace would be in a screened-in porch. Easy access to scenic views and being able to walk outside for inspiration!

A cozy small space with a nice window surrounded by dark Midcentury wood furniture to catch the sun.
