Been a supporter of your creative work since around that time five years ago & how you shared about your journey helped me in my own. Your words and creativity (whatever that looks like in whatever season!) have such an impact. Thank you. 💛

Holy hell girl, when I tell you I was not expecting this heavy of an email this morning.. But man did I need the authenticity and realness. I'm currently in my early 20's and often feel like a failure for being "behind" in life when I'm not behind at all (because how do we even measure that?!). We have so much railway ahead of us than behind. That leaves only more potential for growth- business and personal! Also, I'm so glad you're enjoying NYC, I remember you mentioning how daunting it was for you. x

Yours,

Kyia

I was just scrolling through Substack and your post popped up randomly in my feed. I cannot even begin to tell you how it was EXACTLY what I needed to read at this very moment. I am a 50 year old woman struggling with a series of significant losses, and the grief at times (like this morning) feels like a weighted blanket I can’t shed. I am so grateful for finding this, and for you sharing your journey. It helped me more than you can imagine. I’m also a NYer, so now I’m going to look up your shop and will pop in for a visit! Heartfelt thanks from an internet stranger. 💕

Thank you for the real <3 I have been following your awesome endeavors since I was still in HS, and as a recent college grad wanting to run a creative business, your words still hit so hard. I love this journey for you and really appreciate you sharing the darker parts as well as some hope for tomorrow. Love your work (:

Wow, thank you Jenna for having the vulnerability to share your story! I'm so sorry you went through all that, and I'm so glad things are looking up for you! I just happened to come across this post and gollee was it what I needed right now!! I know how it feels when your dream seems to not be going anywhere. Recently I've been having the worst writer's block with a book series I'm writing. Like, writer's block as in though I've been perfecting the plot for years and writing and rewriting so many versions, it still feels like something is missing and I don't know what it is. But your story was a good reminder to me that the hard part isn't the end of the story, and that dreams will come true, in some way or another! Thank you for this!! ☺️⛅

I read this when you first posted it & was touched so deeply then read it again just now. Jenna, I'm so grateful you chose to share your reflection on all of that with us. It was crushing to read and realize how much you've borne but also just beautiful to read the redemptive parts. Thank God for hope and the way He sees us through our nightmares. Thank you for helping me reflect on my own 2020>> and the good that I eventually saw / am still seeing God bring out of the bad.
