A seven year journey of persisting. Plus, I need your help creating a farmers market index, quotes that inspired me this week, and exciting updates on the summer reading challenge.
Help me make a spectacular farmers market index! Include: The city/location of the market, the name of the market if you know it, the name of the vendor, and what we should order from them. (The more entries you have, the better! The more details, the better!)
The Covington Farmers Market is a convivial community of producers and consumers of homegrown fresh produce, locally prepared food and live music. The fruit and vegetables are from local producers. Some are seasonal. Also locally produced eggs, milk, cheese, meat, poultry and seafood. The prepared items include jam and jelly, juice and popsicles, Greek and Mediterranean food, authentic Mexican salsas and tamales, Italian food, bread, pastries, pies, candy, all fresh and produced locally. The market offers a broad selection of native, ornamental and culinary plants.
All my votes for the Little Italy Mercato Farmers' Market in San Diego! Bayfront views, all local produce and a gazillion delicious food vendors (almost 200 vendors). The Piazza della Famiglia fountain is the best spot to sit down and people watch with your yummy treats :)
I also love the San Luis Obispo (CA) downtown farmers' market on Thursday nights. It is HUGE and brings out thousands of people each week. I've only been once while visiting and was blown away. There are several BBQ vendors with open-air grills and the Cal Poly student groups are out in full force (including the tractor pull team - LOL).
Great news, congratulations! I have pre-ordered. One of my favourite small pleasures is pre-ordering something I am excited about -- then completely forgetting about it, so that when it arrives it feels like a gift from the universe! Can't wait for another round in late July :)
This post takes me back to your early days! I went back through my camera roll to see if I could find a picture of the old color dot calendars and in the process also found pics of your 2020 planner (still the best!) and an indoor sunshine candle! I also have a perfume roller from back in the day that I still sometimes use! 🥹 anyways, love seeing your growth through the years! Thank you for continuing to provide joy for all of us, regardless of the circumstances and how it looked!
My favorite farmers market is Summit Produce in Kirkwood, Mo! 🍅
Jenna, I am so excited!! I just preordered the 2027 calendar from here in Germany, and I can’t wait to use it next year! I always love the color you use, and I can’t wait to add a bit more color to my apartment here. :)
Clintonville Farmers Market in Columbus, OH - 9N Farms always has the most delicious produce and if you get there early enough they'll have the juiciest berries in the peak of summer! Also, Lapp It Up Kombucha has a booth directly across. I've been buying their locally made kombucha for years now. They use Ohio grown produce and you can truly taste the freshness. Usually in August they have a pineapple, matcha, mint kombucha that is to die for!!

Winter Haven Farmers Market - Winter Haven, FL. They are a smaller market that is steadily growing & with the best community!! My favvvvv vendor is Shay’s Sugar!! She makes all things sourdough, & some things not. But LAWD HAVE MERCY! 9/10 times things get opened in the car & don’t last more than a day! All of her sourdough is incredible but her cinnamon rolls 🥳 TO DIE FOR. &&&& the cheese twist &&&& the focaccia 😭😍 it’s all truly so delicious!! It has been really cool watching her grow!!
just honeymooned in california and we were enamored by the oakhurst fruit stand outside of yosemite! the old man was so sweet and said he had been running it for 30+ years. the raisins and figs were to die for!
in hsv alabama we love the mid city market, i've spent so much money on seriously simple soaps. the owners are SO fun to talk to and i love giving their handmade soap as gifts; for christmas one year i tried to match my friends' personalities to a soap description haha. it's the one thing i splurge on every other week! (highly recommend the honeysuckle as well as rose scented anything haha- their lotions are incredible as well). their seasonal soaps are so creative
S&J Produce farms in madison, al is similarily fantastic. the family is so kind and always willing to offer suggestions of what to get. there's a lady that drops off sourdough cinnamon rolls friday morning that are always a treat if I can manage to snag them before they're sold out!!
thank you i am so so excited, your designs are so inspiring to me! oh, and I forgot to plug the soap website for those that don't live in al: https://seriouslysimplesoap.square.site/ !
my local farmer's market is the best!! it's Overland Park farmer's market in Kansas.
my personal favorite vendor is Frannie Franks coffee cakes. they offer dairy, gluten, and nut free coffee cakes which I love as someone with food allergies. my favorite flavors are classic, lemon raspberry, apple pie, and cherry, but they are all sooooo good!
I also love Bramble and Rose tea company, which has delicious loose leaf teas - I love their cherry berry bliss and cranberry spice teas!
another allergy friendly vendor I love is Neon Palm Italian ice. Their Italian ice is only made with a few ingredients and it's super refreshing in the summer!

The Broad Ripple Farmers Market in Indianapolis is phenomenal! Favorites from there are Pots and Pans Pie Co and Tulip Tree Creamery!
So excited about summer reading, have already finished 9 books on a mid-May vacation! ♥️
"At some point, probably in a puddle of tears, it finally clicked that the work had to be about the joy of doing it, not the results.”
Oh this resonates so much with me.
